How can I submit research to the local ethics committee?

Step 1
Register in our NCBE portal
Register or log in if you have already registered, then you must pass the electronic course if you have not passed it before, which will be valid for three years.
Step 2
Fill out the research proposal form
Upload all necessary information and documents regarding your research, so the local ethics committee can evaluate the research ethically according to the law and regulations of ethics of research on living creatures.
Step 3
Receiving the ethical approval
After reviewing your application, you will be notified of the decision issued by the local committee, and if the research is approved, you can start conducting the research. You must submit a periodic report on the validity of the research as stated in the law and the executive regulations.

Yes, according to Article (1) in the Researcher definition and Article (10.16) item 3 of the law and regulations of ethics of research on living creatures.

If you need to amend or request extensions for approved research, you need to log in to your account in the NCBE portal. After that you can directly request from the LEC and wait for their decision. 

The law and regulations of ethics of research on living creatures state that (The local committee will review the research project requests submitted by researchers associated with the establishment where the committee is affiliated. It also has the right to review the research project requests submitted by researchers in vicinity of the establishment upon agreement with the researcher, if there is no local committee in the establishment where these researchers are affiliated, provided the absence of a local committee is not the result of an administrative negligence to establish such a committee.), Article (10.5) item 5.

The e-certificate provided by the National Committee of Bioethics is valid for two years from its issuance, and after two years the course must be taken again.
